The first French Baron of Bolt award goes to Hugo Bochynski - félicitations!!
Hugo scored the most Evasions with 8 (in joint 2nd, with 5 each, were teammate Bilal Ligreci and Kimeo’s Benjamin Garcia) and, amongst the top Evaders, he had the highest Evasion ratio with 61%. He had a clean run as a Chaser with 6/6, and his team, Parkour 59, went on to win the tournament
Congratulations to Eva Yamani - the first French athlete to win Baroness of Bolt!! She was involved in the most Chases at the French Championship (19); scored the most Evasions (6 - together with Assia Ligreci); and conceded none.
Her team, Kimeo Volt, went on to win the competition and book their place at the WCT6 World Championship
With his 4th MVP award, the WCT6 Pan American Duke of Dodge is, amazingly - Kyle Soderman!!! He now has 3x Baron of Bolt awards and 1x Duke of Dodge, the only award missing from the collection is Knight of Flight. Kyle was involved in the most chases (34); scored the most Evasions (11); and conceded one.
In every event Kyle has competed in (apart from WCT5), he has been involved in the most chases and scored the most Evasions.
The winner of the first ever Duchess of Dodge, MVP award, goes to Nemesis captain, Taylor Carpenter!!!! Taylor was in 9 chases, scored 5 Evasions and conceded none.
One particularly satisfying element is that Taylor has competed in two previous WCT events (WCT5 and the WCT6 US Championship), and in both cases she was carrying injuries. The WCT6 Pan American Championship was her first injury-free event in which her team won and she ended up as the Duchess of Dodge, so huge congrats to her and we’re looking forward to seeing Nemesis compete at the WCT6 World Championship in 2024!!!
Announcing the WCT5 KNIGHT(s) OF FLIGHT (MVP Award)! There were a lot of stand out athletes at the WCT5 World Championship, and so it was incredibly hard to choose just ONE athlete to take the title "Knight of Flight".
This is why we have selected two outstanding athletes, Jason Wu Bergeron of Apex ETH and Orlando Devaux of Team Phat! Both chosen for their exceptional 100% tag rate and for their incredible evasion rates, with Orlando winning 8 out of 11 evasions for his team and Jason having the highest evasion rate at the world championship, evading 53% of the time (the average is ~30%). They were both key athletes, who contributed to the success of their teams, more so than anyone else!
